Candid or Posed?

Our photography comprises of a sweet balance of candid and posed moments. At times such as the Ceremony, we try to stay candid and out-of-view in order to capture all those priceless emotions of the bride and groom, their families and friends. Also, at other important moments of the day like Cutting of the Cake, Speeches and the Bridal Waltz, we try and stay as candid as possible to not intrude the “moment”. However, being professionals we always capture key moments even though we are at a distance. During the Photoshoot, we adopt a blend of posed and candid shots.

Creative or Safe?

Normally one of our photographers will capture safe shots. These are shots like the bride walking down the aisle alongside her father, first kiss after the ceremony, etc.. At the same time, the second photographer is free to move around and discover a unique and creative angle. This allows us to present to our couples a larger variety of photographs.

We are always on the lookout for challenging shots and angles and do not like getting bogged down by mediocre and average shots. Our photography is all about learning from our past experiences and creating something new and fresh for the future.

Equipment

We utilize top of the range Canon DSLR cameras and premium L series lenses as we do not compromise on quality. We love our gear and are always on the lookout for the latest cameras to add to our sweet collection.

Images & Quality

We let our creativity take charge and take unlimited photos during the day. We shoot images in RAW format in order to obtain the best image quality possible. All the images go through a colour correction process and selected images go through a complete artistic edit.

On the Wedding Day

Depending on the package that you have chosen, normally we start off the day at the Bride and Groom’s Preparation. Some couples choose to have their preparations at their homes whereas others at a hotel. Our first objective is to be able to get details of the wedding such as the rings, wedding dress, bouquet, suits, ties, shoes and any other important details. We capture timeless moments such as the dress being tied up by the bridesmaids, moment between the father and daughter, the mother and son, etc.. Candid is our choice here as we do not want to interrupt the high emotions of the family and their close friends.

At the wedding ceremony, we use the same candid principle as these are very surreal moments for the bride and groom so we try to stay out-of-sight as much as possible. We hunt out these cherished moments without being in your face. Once the ceremony is over, we encourage all family and friends to have a group photo with the newly wedded couple.

Then comes the fun part of taking the couple to their photoshoot. This is where we blend the posed and candid styles of photography. We encourage the couple and their bridal party to have fun and let them be themselves while we capture a mixture of posed and candid shots.

At the Reception, before the guests arrive, we take shots of the hall including details such as bouquets, decor, table decorations and others that the bride has spent many months putting together. As the guests walk into the Reception hall, we capture candid shots of them laughing, chatting and drinking. Then we get the bridal party’s entrance to the hall along with the newlyweds’ grand entrance. During the Bridal Waltz, Cutting of the Cake, Speeches and Dance we keep our distance in order to give some space to the newlyweds and their guests.

We finish off the night by capturing the fun moments such as throwing the bouquet, throwing the garter and walking through the human arch.

Pre-wedding Photoshoot

This is a great opportunity to have your photos in a relaxed and fun environment. Along with that, you get to know your wedding photographer before your wedding day and can create a rapport with each other. Usually, we start taking photos just before sunset to capture the soft light. Pre-wedding photoshoots generally go for an hour or two.

Wall Mounts

Our wall mounts come in the form of canvas or acrylic.

Our Australian made canvases are of the highest quality material and have UV and Fungi protection. The canvases are machine tensioned around a reinforced mounting frame.

Acrylic wall mounts have become the trendier option for the modern bride. They bring out colours and give depth to the image. The image is printed on a special paper and then covered with a thick sheet of acrylic which adds to the gloss and enhances the life of the print.

Enlargements

We can produce high quality photo enlargements from anything between 4” X 6” up to 44” X 66”. These can be printed on either gloss or matte Epson Premium Luster 260gsm Photo papers.
